Job summary

Kotarides Companies is seeking a Commercial Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain retail shopping centers and office buildings in Chesapeake, Virginia. This full-time role offers paid holidays, vacation time and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental, life insurance and 401K participation.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, monitoring building systems, and handling a variety of trades with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year experience in commercial maintenance.
• HVAC Certification Type II or Universal.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds.
• Assist in monitoring building system operations and performance.
• Utilize multiple trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling).
• Ensure timely completion of commercial service requests.
• Maintain records of preventative maintenance, service requests and expenditures.
• Maintain knowledge of laws and EPA/OSHA regulations including hazardous materials storage/management.
• Collaborate with commercial team on special projects and tenant build-outs.
• Be available for after-hours on-call and emergency weather events.
