Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. in Ohio seeks an experienced professional to administer a portfolio of troubled and distressed Commercial and CRE credits.

The role focuses on developing credit administration strategies to minimize losses and to negotiate remediation with borrowers. Candidates must have at least 3 years in commercial banking or loan review, strong underwriting and collections knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with management, legal counsel and lenders while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial banking or loan review.
• College degree strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial facilities and building codes.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review loan files upon assignment to understand the transaction and circumstances.
• Enforce the Bank's rights or position with respect to loans and collateral.
• Discuss issues with supervisor, management personnel, and/or legal counsel to develop strategies and solutions.
• Document loan files with respect to action taken and pertaining to each assigned account.
• Work with third parties when appropriate to dispose of collateral.
• Interact with and direct the activities of commercial banking officers on accounts handled on a shared basis.
• Review, analyze and interpret financial statements and cash flow to assess borrower strength.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Develop and implement credit administration strategies to minimize potential loss.
• Coordinate with management, executives, and legal to manage accounts per policy and laws.
• Make, review, and approve foreclosure sale bid recommendations.
• Review real estate and equipment liquidation scenarios for CRU officers.
• Review foreclosure bidding inputs and provide input.
• Review and evaluate collateral for commercial lenders as needed.
• Act as liaison between department and vendors for real estate, equipment, vehicle sales.
