Qualifications

• LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
• Admitted as an Attorney in South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, with a focus on commercial law and litigation.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of South African contract law and dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector is a significant advantage.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, and service contracts.
• Advise on compliance with relevant industry regulations and legislation.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial litigation and dispute resolution processes.
• Conduct legal research and provide timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with the Companies Act.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other service providers.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Support the sales and procurement departments with legal guidance on contractual matters.
• Review marketing materials and ensure compliance with advertising standards.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of legal developments impacting the company's industry.
