Job summary

ICW Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Underwriter to develop and grow a profitable book of business across Commercial Lines, including workers' compensation and package lines. You will act as a senior underwriting and distribution partner to agents and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes advanced underwriting judgment, cross-sell opportunities, and leadership in driving growth with a focus on agency relationships and profitability. Travel to meet clients is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years underwriting experience; 7+ preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Lines products and risk evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, price, and manage complex risks within assigned lines.
• Drive growth through proactive agency engagement and cross-sell.
• Mentor junior staff and lead training across the team.
• Maintain profitability and retention of the portfolio.
• Present insights and strategic recommendations to leadership and partners.
