Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and coordinate day-to-day admin and service activities. The role demands expert account stewardship, renewal management, and proactive problem-solving while upholding IOA values.

The position supports remote work across the Eastern and Central Time Zones with occasional on-site requirements per policy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience or 7+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve team performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
