Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Credit Manager / Commercial Loan Manager to lead our commercial lending portfolio, develop new business, and manage client accounts with a focus on risk-adjusted growth.

The role requires strong CRE and C&I underwriting, leadership of a lending team, and collaboration across departments to deliver timely, compliant loan processing and servicing. You will mentor staff, monitor KPIs, and present proposals to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of commercial lending, credit management, or relationship management experience.
• Experience underwriting CRE and C&I loans.
• Proven success managing loans in the $5M to $10M+ range.
• Strong financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source new commercial lending and deposit relationships.
• Develop and execute growth strategies to achieve portfolio targets.
• Manage and deepen relationships with existing clients.
• Serve as trusted advisor to clients by understanding business objectives.
• Structure, analyze, and underwrite CRE and C&I loan opportunities.
• Evaluate financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and credit risk.
• Prepare and present loan proposals to senior leadership.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead and mentor lending team members.
• Manage portfolio profitability and risk exposure.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient loan processing, closing, servicing.
• Establish and monitor KPIs aligned with growth targets.
