Job summary

Center Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to develop new business, underwrite, structure, and close commercial loans while maintaining a loan portfolio. The role emphasizes local market activity and community engagement in Minnesota.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial lending, a business degree, and strong analytical/communicational skills to deliver accurate credit analyses and solid loan proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Commercial Lending.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• Ability to present, sell and service bank products with professional lending knowledge.
• Ability to generate $4–$6 million in new loan growth annually.
• Strong written and verbal communication with accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to determine loan requirements and gather pertinent information.
• Conduct initial analysis of applicant's financial status, credit, and asset evaluation.
• Determine proper loan structure by listening and asking questions.
• Structure loans within policy and seek approvals as needed.
• Prepare financing proposals for presentation to applicants.
• Review loan documentation prior to closing for completeness.
• Ensure timely loan closing and funding activities.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, staff, professionals, and community organizations.
• Participate in community and professional events.
• Manage loan portfolio including renewals, modifications, and monitoring.
