Job summary

Center Bank in Minnesota seeks a Jr. Commercial & Ag Loan Officer to support commercial and agricultural lending activities, including loan origination, analysis, underwriting, documentation, and servicing.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and communicates well with customers. 3+ years of lending experience and a relevant degree are preferred; bank leadership and credit staff collaboration are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent banking or lending experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of related experience in lending or banking.
• Understanding of loan origination process and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with financial statements and loan analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist lenders with origination and processing of new loans.
• Develop understanding of commercial and agricultural lending products and policies.
• Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze financial information including balance sheets and income statements.
• Assist with underwriting and credit memos to evaluate repayment ability.
• Support loan presentations and loan closing documentation.
• Gather financial information and maintain loan files and customer records.
• Learn loan origination and processing software and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with lenders and staff.
• Participate in training to build commercial and agricultural lending expertise.
