Job Summary
We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Commercial HVAC Technician with advanced commercial system design, installation, and ductwork fabrication expertise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly in new construction and retrofit projects, and be capable of diagnosing and repairing complex equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and installation of HVAC systems, including layout, duct routing, and equipment placement for commercial facilities.
- Perform custom ductwork fabrication and ensure proper integration with HVAC components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues in existing HVAC systems.
- Install, service, and maintain complex commercial equipment such as chillers, water towers, BAS platforms, and VFDs.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members to deliver high-quality installation and service outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installation plans, materials, and maintenance records.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Qualifications
- Warm, friendly, and customer-service-focused.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician with specific system design and installation knowledge in commercial environments.
- Proven expertise in ductwork fabrication, layout, and assembly for large-scale systems.
- Deep understanding of commercial HVAC installation standards and best practices.
- Experience with chillers, water towers, BAS, and VFDs.
- Excellent mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- EPA certification required; additional licenses or certifications (e.g., Sheet Metal, NATE) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Comfortable using smartphones and computers for timesheets, work orders, and records.
- Must pass fingerprint background checks for school campus access.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (TN insurable).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to work on smoke-free campuses.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and carry 50+ lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs).
- Prolonged standing, walking, and working in awkward positions.
- Climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and maintaining balance.
- Good vision (corrected if needed), strong hearing, and fine motor skills.
- Work in extreme temperatures, various weather conditions, and moderate to high noise.
