Job summary

Engineering Excellence seeks an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems. You will troubleshoot equipment, communicate solutions clearly, and own complex tasks as you grow your technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area.
• EPA 608 Universal required
• OSHA safety certifications preferred
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment
• Reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant and duct systems in commercial HVAC equipment
• Ability to stand, climb ladders, and work in varied environmental conditions

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor to perform commercial service and maintenance calls
• Diagnoses and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner
• Diagnoses and services on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and accessories
• Inspects equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns or callbacks
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed
• Delivers parts and equipment needed to complete service work
• Records information on a handheld device and completes forms accurately
• Communicates with dispatch to provide status reports
• Promotes products and services to customers; maintains vehicle and tools
• Follows procedures, returns warranty parts, and replenishes vehicle stock
• May complete material requisitions and related administrative activities
• Performs similar/other duties as needed
