Job summary

TP Mechanical Contractors in Dayton, OH seeks an experienced HVAC professional for a full-time role. You will troubleshoot HVAC rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and control systems, read blueprints, and coordinate with subs and foremen on site.

Requirements include 5 years of commercial plumbing/HVAC/refrigeration experience, relevant licenses, and the ability to work independently and handle on-call duties. A strong technical background and dependable work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years commercial experience in plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration.
• Stable work history.
• HVAC and brazing license a plus.
• EPA or Universal License a plus.
• Type 2 or Universal Refrigerant License.
• HVAC chiller and boiler certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and solve HVAC rooftop units, make up air, boiler, chiller, and control system problems. VRF system knowledge is a plus.
• Follows up with customers for quality assurance purposes and ensures customers are 100% satisfied.
• Can work independently with little direction and is capable of solving problems (i.e., contacting factory, engineer, architect, foreman, etc.).
• Attends, if needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projects. Is well prepared to handle issues that may come up. Fills out all forms, revisions, requests for tools/equipment/material that are required for each project.
• Has the ability to identify and locate parts/suppliers.
• On call as required and fills out the corresponding paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Dependable and able to work in emergency situations when called.
• All other duties as assigned.
