Job summary

LONG Building Technologies is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician III to join our Colorado service team in Littleton/Denver Metro. This is a senior-level role where you will diagnose and resolve complex system issues in the field, often autonomously, while mentoring less-experienced technicians.

You'll work with a company vehicle, mobile phone, and provided clothing, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package along with a competitive pay rate of $46–$55/hour plus profit

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with commercial HVAC systems.
• Valid CFC / EPA 608 refrigeration certification.
• Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, load calculations, and energy modeling.
• Strong independent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with VRF systems and BAS.
• Experience managing large-scale HVAC projects.
• Knowledge of refrigerant management and environmental considerations.
• Comfort with safety procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on refrigeration systems and controls.
• Complete preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Design and implement HVAC solutions based on customer needs.
• Oversee larger installation and retrofit projects.
• Mentor apprentices and less-experienced technicians.
• Prepare accurate service documentation and reports.
