Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial and industrial systems in Indianapolis. The role requires troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

You'll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose failures in mechanical, electrical, and control components, and document service calls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience servicing commercial HVAC/R equipment.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• NATE Certification preferred.
• Experience with RTUs, split systems, air handlers, chilled water, or boiler systems preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment layouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control system components.
• Service and troubleshoot systems including split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, air handlers, and control systems.
• Test components using appropriate diagnostic tools and instruments.
