Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead installation projects from kickoff to startup. You will mentor helpers, read blueprints, and ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every site.

As part of the NearU family, you’ll work on rooftop systems, share expertise, and deliver reliable, high-quality results for commercial clients across the region.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Leading commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Reading blueprints, job specifications, and installation plans to ensure schedule adherence.
• Coaching and developing Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verifying airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
• Performing startups, testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
• Communicating with customers, project managers, and team members throughout the installation process.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Completing installation documentation accurately and on time.
