Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC, part of the NearU family, seeks a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead commercial installation projects from kickoff through startup. You will mentor Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery, and coordinate with customers and project managers on site.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of commercial/residential HVAC installation experience, strong problem-solving skills, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Ability to lead installation projects and mentor team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ducts.
• Read blueprints and specifications to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach and develop Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
• Perform equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and final quality inspections.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and team members throughout installation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Complete installation documentation accurately and on time.
