Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Field Technician to install, service, and remove portable HVAC equipment at commercial and industrial sites. This on-site role requires heavy travel, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently at customer locations.

Candidates should have 5+ years of HVAC field experience, read manuals, and pass pre-employment and DOT requirements. The position offers excellent compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
• Experience using refrigeration testing equipment, meters, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals, project specifications, and equipment documentation.
• Experience operating a service truck and towing equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage work independently with limited supervision.
• Good communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to satisfy applicable pre-employment and DOT requirements.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight assignments.
• Ability to perform field-based physical duties, including moving equipment weighing up to 100 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, start up, and remove portable HVAC equipment.
• Support telecommunications, commercial, and industrial customer locations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and HVAC equipment problems in the field.
• Complete pre-installation and post-installation inspections.
• Ensure work complies with applicable safety requirements and building codes.
• Review technical manuals, project specifications, and equipment documentation.
• Develop work plans and coordinate required materials and equipment.
• Perform quality checks throughout each installation or service project.
• Complete work orders, inspection reports, progress updates, and customer documentation.
• Coordinate issue resolution with technical support and internal service teams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs as required.
• Operate a service truck and tow equipment trailers.
• Travel to customer sites and other branch locations for installations, removals, and repairs.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment.
