Zusammenfassung

Cogent Analytics is seeking a Lead Mechanic – Commercial HVAC to supervise crews on commercial job sites, ensuring safe, high-quality installation and service of HVAC systems. The role requires strong leadership and hands-on expertise with chillers, boilers, RTUs, AHUs, VAVs, and BAS/EMS interfaces.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with general contractors, and enforce safety and building-code compliance while delivering on-time, within-budget results.

Qualifikationen

• 5–10+ years of commercial HVAC field experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a foreman or supervisory role preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead field crews of mechanics, apprentices, helpers, and subcontractors on commercial job sites.
• Troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain chillers, boilers, rooftop units (RTUs), air handling units (AHUs), VAV boxes, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
• Program, diagnose, troubleshoot, and interface with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Read and interpret mechanical schematics, electrical diagrams, piping layouts, and other construction documents.
• Enforce jobsite safety requirements and verify that work is completed according to applicable commercial building codes, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Communicate with general contractors and customers; supervise crew performance.
