Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably commercial building projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs; ability to interpret blueprints and specs.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

Aufgaben

• Review project specs, blueprints, and site conditions to understand scope and constraints.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals aligned with project specs and budgets.
• Solicit quotes from vendors/subcontractors and negotiate pricing/terms.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Monitor project costs and variances throughout construction for proactive management.
• Organize and maintain project documents (bids, contracts, change orders, correspondence).
• Communicate requirements and progress with project teams, clients, vendors, and subs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices relevant to commercial construction.
