Scull Construction Service, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to lead accurate, competitive project estimates across commercial construction types. The role works with preconstruction and project management teams through bid and award, developing skills on challenging northern plains projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in estimating, readiness to review drawings and specs, and to identify value engineering opportunities while coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of commercial construction estimating experience preferred.
• Experience with the full bid process, including subcontractor quotes and bid tally sheets.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and addenda for accuracy.
• Ability to identify value engineering opportunities and constructability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs across major trade divisions.
• Review project documents for completeness and constructability.
• Develop bid scopes and evaluate subcontractor quotes for scope compliance.
• Conduct conceptual and schematic-level estimating from high-level plans.
• Create bid reports and summarize estimates for internal review and client presentation.
• Maintain estimates in company estimating software with accuracy and speed.
