Weekday AI is seeking a Senior Commercial Construction Estimator to join a growing commercial construction organization in Lincoln, NE. The role focuses on strengthening estimating and preconstruction capabilities with a proactive mindset toward process modernization.

Key responsibilities include preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing plans, and collaborating with Operations, PM, Finance, and Business Development to support bidding strategies and smooth project handoffs.

Competenze

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience with a General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, subcontractor pricing, and estimating practices.
• Ability to prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates.
• Experience with estimating software and digital construction tools is highly desirable.

Mansioni

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial projects.
• Analyze plans, specifications, scopes, drawings, and bid documents to develop cost estimates.
• Collaborate with Operations, PM, Business Development, and Finance teams throughout preconstruction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Conduct site visits to understand scope, constructability, and site requirements.
• Identify cost, scope, and constructability risks during estimating.
• Support handoffs from estimating to project execution.
• Provide estimating insights to leadership for bidding strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating systems and workflows.
• Contribute ideas to improve the overall preconstruction function.
