Weekday AI is seeking a Senior Commercial Construction Estimator in Lincoln, Nebraska to strengthen its preconstruction team. The role focuses on detailed cost estimating for commercial projects, collaborating with Operations, Project Management, and Finance to develop accurate bids and support winning strategies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estimating experience with a GC, strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor pricing, plus proficiency with estimating

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience with a General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, subcontractor pricing, and estimating practices.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive project estimates.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for a diverse range of commercial construction projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, scopes, drawings, and other bid documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Business Development, and Finance teams throughout preconstruction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Conduct site visits to understand scope, constructability, site conditions, and project requirements.
• Identify risks in cost, scope, and constructability during estimating.
