Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction estimating or pre-construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, pricing, and market conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents; strong takeoffs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimates.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Review scopes and identify gaps, risks, and constructability concerns.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare bid packages, clarifications, alternates, and proposal documents.
• Maintain historical cost data, unit pricing, and estimating databases.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and estimate reviews.
• Support the transition of awarded projects from estimating to operations.
