Job summary

Vortex Colorado, LLC is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door Technician to join our Denver-area team. You will install, repair, and maintain commercial doors, docks, and related hardware across customer sites, ensuring safety and quality workmanship.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in the industry, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to read a tape measure and use hand/power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry.
• Knowledge of various door types, brands, and hardware.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations involving fractions and reading a tape measure accurately.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
• Physically able to move items weighing 50 lbs. or higher.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
• Diagnose and repair door-related issues including springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware such as locks, handles, closers, low-voltage, and access control systems.
• Ensure installed doors meet safety and building code regulations and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and offering solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with doors and communicate cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality checks on installations and repairs to meet quality standards.
