Vortex Doors in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door Technician to join our team. You will install, repair, and maintain commercial doors, docks, and related hardware at customer sites.

We value mechanical aptitude, problem solving, and a strong safety mindset. Experience with door hardware, locks, and access control is preferred. A company vehicle and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• AAADM certification is a plus.
• 4+ years in the commercial door service industry.
• Knowledge of door types, brands and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and hardware.
• Diagnose door-related issues including springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components; welding training a plus.
• Install and configure door hardware and access control systems.
• Ensure doors meet safety and building codes.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes.
• Maintain records of service visits, repairs, and installations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues; communicate cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality checks to meet high workmanship standards.
