Job summary

Sunflower Bank N.A. in Dallas, TX seeks a Credit Underwriter III to analyze financial and credit information for commercial customers, supporting loan decisions while maximizing credit quality and reducing risk.

You will prepare detailed cash flow analyses and reports, collaborate with Business/Commercial Bankers, and ensure compliance with BSA/OFAC and applicable regulations. This role requires experience in underwriting and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or similar field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years in related discipline and 7–10+ years in credit analysis/underwriting in commercial lending.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, tax returns).
• Experience underwriting in healthcare services sector is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong business math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Review financial and credit information to determine borrower creditworthiness.
• Prepare detailed financial and analytical reports including cash flow analyses and projections.
• Research industry and market information relevant to customers’ lines of business.
• Summarize analysis for loan relationships and communicate findings to bankers and credit officers.
• Monitor credit files and ensure covenant compliance and reporting requirements.
