Job summary

Pathward, National Association is seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Risk Advisor to join our hybrid workforce in the United States. This role embeds within the BRG to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory and credit risks across lending activities.

You will collaborate with underwriting, portfolio, and credit administration teams to align activities with regulatory expectations and strong risk practices. A senior professional with 12+ years in banking risk is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent education/work.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 12+ years in regulatory compliance, lending, loan review, or risk management.
• 12+ years commercial credit experience including energy, working capital, asset-based lending, equipment finance, leasing, and government guaranteed lending.
• Strong knowledge of credit program design, regulatory requirements, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Commercial Finance regulatory advisor to business units.
• Monitor bank's credit risk profile relative to Risk Appetite.
• Develop strong credit culture across the bank.
• Provide challenge to lending decisions across lifecycle of lending activities.
• Develop training for first line of defense on credit topics.
• Administer credit-related committees and working groups.
• Advise leadership on risk-related decisions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
• Prepare risk reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Leverage data analytics and technology for predictive risk modeling.
