Job summary

Evergreen CU in Westbrook is seeking an AVP – Commercial Credit Supervisor to lead the commercial credit team and oversee underwriting and approval processes. The role includes coaching analysts, supervising performance reviews, and ensuring credit memos are thorough and accurate.

The successful candidate will underwrite deals as needed, support relationship management, and maintain compliance with credit union policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of direct experience performing credit analysis in a commercial banking environment.
• One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, or certification recognized as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Review credit memoranda to ensure clear, accurate approval memos with salient data, metrics, and objective writing.
• Lead analyst team with coaching and performance evaluations; drive professional development.
• Underwrite new money, renewals, or reviews to maintain pipeline and meet lending targets.
• Analyze financial statements and collateral; determine key ratios and summarize risks for lending presentations.
• Collaborate with Commercial Sales and Operations to ensure accurate reporting and timely tickler management.
• File loan documents with agencies or lenders and perform loan reviews as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or industry certifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
