Job summary

One Community Bank in Wisconsin and Oregon is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to evaluate credit risk by reviewing borrower and guarantor financials and delivering clear lending recommendations. You’ll take ownership of the bank’s complex credit relationships and serve as a go-to resource for the analyst team.

You will spread and analyze financial statements, prepare independent credit memos and loan presentations, and support annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 4–5 years of commercial credit analyst experience in banking.
• Strong credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and memo/presentation writing skills.
• Knowledge of banking accounting rules, regulations, and policies.
• Advanced Excel/Microsoft Office skills.
• Clear communication and mentoring/leadership ability.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst, you’ll evaluate the risk of extending credit by reviewing borrower and guarantor financial information and turning your analysis into clear recommendations for lending decisions. Your day is anchored in focused analysis and timely collaboration. You’ll start by prioritizing a pipeline of higher-complexity relationships, then move between deep review work and quick touchpoints with lenders to confirm assumptions, clarify documentation, and align on next steps. Expect time blocked for building clean, decision-ready narratives—translating numbers into concise conclusions and for keeping annual reviews moving forward. As questions come in, you’ll pause to coach newer analysts, helping them think through structure, cash flow, and risk. You’ll wrap up by checking progress against deadlines, noting any policy considerations, and preparing what’s needed for upcoming committee or approval conversations.
