Job summary

Cyclops is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to own commercial legal work, corporate and compliance support for a fast-growing stablecoin infrastructure company. This hands-on role reports to the Co-Founder & President, acting CLO, and partners with product, sales, and leadership to draft, negotiate, and manage key agreements with clients, partners, and vendors.

You will translate regulatory obligations into practical contract terms, support governance and equity matters, and supervise outside

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent and admitted to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.
• 5-8 years of relevant legal experience, in-house or at a reputable law firm.
• Strong commercial contracting experience; able to own negotiations and drafting.
• Experience with corporate governance, equity/options, and licensing compliance.
• Familiarity with crypto, payments, and regulatory context.
• Clear communication and ability to advise non-lawyers.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate broad range of commercial agreements.
• Serve as primary legal point of contact for commercial deals from term sheet through signature.
• Develop templates, playbooks, and processes to accelerate contracts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify legal risk and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and client service to address concerns.
• Support regulatory and licensing obligations with compliance teams.
• Manage outside counsel, scoping work and controlling spend.
