Notion is seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to support its Enterprise sales motions across the Americas. The role emphasizes negotiating complex AI SaaS agreements and advising cross-functional teams on privacy, security, and regulatory matters.

The candidate will join Notion's Commercial Legal team, partnering with product, sales, and customer success to close revenue deals efficiently while upholding high standards of legal clarity and risk management.

Qualificações

• Admitted to the California State Bar, New York State Bar, or Registered In-House Counsel in good standing.
• 12+ years combined experience as a commercial attorney in a law firm or software company (approximate).
• At least 2+ years in-house at a SaaS/AI technology company.
• Privacy and AI subject matter expertise, including GDPR, CCPA, and EU AI Act considerations.
• Experience driving SaaS and enterprise B2B transactions.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills for complex deals.
• Ability to explain legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Excellent relationship-building with internal/external stakeholders.
• Curiosity about AI and willingness to adopt AI tools in work.
• Resilience, resourcefulness, and independent yet collaborative mindset.
• Strategic thinking with team-oriented execution.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and negotiate SaaS AI agreements for the Americas, focusing on enterprise deals.
• Collaborate with Product Legal on product and GTM initiatives affecting agreements.
• Draft and negotiate privacy, security, and AI regulatory provisions.
• Identify and propose process improvements for buy-side motions.
• Develop and revise contract templates and playbooks as offerings evolve.
