Job summary

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Commercial Attorney for our financial services client in New York City. This short-term contract will cover in-house review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements while partnering with internal business stakeholders. The ideal candidate holds a J.D.

with an active U.S. bar license, 3+ years of legal experience (in-house preferred), and proven ability to draft and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and SaaS agreements.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active U.S. bar license.
• 3+ years of legal experience, in-house experience strongly preferred.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting technology, SaaS, or similar business environments preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and business partnering skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, PSAs, and partnership agreements.
• Partner with sales, procurement, finance, and business teams to support commercial transactions.
• Identify and address data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI-related contractual risks.
• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to move deals forward.
• Support contract negotiations from initial review through execution.

This short-term contract assignment will provide coverage for an in-house legal team and support the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements while partnering with internal business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate:
• Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
• Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Professional Services Agreements
• Partnership and Alliance Agreements
• Partner with sales, procurement, finance, and business teams to support commercial transactions.
• Identify and address contractual risks related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI-related matters.
• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to help move deals forward.
• Support contract negotiations from initial review through execution.
