The Position

We are a cutting-edge cyber security company and we are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy senior commercial counsel to join our global legal team. This role will be based in our San Francisco office and report to the General Counsel.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of a high volume of commercial agreements including SaaS, OEM, MSAs, SOWs, channel and professional services agreements.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, maintain, and enhance commercial playbooks, contract templates and contract management to improve operational efficiency, ensure consistency, and support scalability.
  • Strategic Legal Advice: Provide legal counsel on matters relating to legal risk, business strategy, and contract structuring.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Be a valued member of a growing cross-functional and global team, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations and Professional Services to support the growth and success of the business.
  • Legal Compliance: Remain up-to-date on relevant industry laws and regulations to ensure an ongoing ability to provide sound compliance advice.

What We Need From You

  • JD from an accredited law school and state bar admission.
  • 8+ years relevant legal experience (law firm and/or in-house experience).
  • Experience with a variety of commercial transactions with a willingness and ability to be flexible and to develop new expertise.
  • Experience working in a dynamic B2B sales environment.
  • Service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, growth mindset.
  • Ability to resolve complex legal issues practically and efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and manage workloads to meet deadlines in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Team player who welcomes responsibility and effectively engages with others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Possesses a practical, real world, collaborative approach to problem solving with the ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across cultures and time zones.

We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on location, as outlined below, as well as the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for bonuses, benefits, and equity.
