Job summary

Global Silicon Valley is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation commercial projects. You will lead field operations, coordinate trades, maintain schedules, and ensure safety and quality in occupied facilities.

The ideal candidate reads drawings, manages teams, and upholds OSHA standards while delivering projects on time and within budget. This role champions proactive problem-solving and clear client communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• At least 2 years managing commercial construction or renovation projects in occupied facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and shop drawings.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using construction management software, scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and mobile field reporting applications.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily field operations for commercial construction projects, both ground up and renovation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, facility personnel, and project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and completion dates are achieved.
• Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety plans.
• Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications, contract documents, industry standards, and quality expectations.
• Conduct daily site inspections and proactively resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and project closeout documentation.
• Maintain detailed daily reports documenting labor, progress, weather, deliveries, inspections, and field conditions.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project updates with project managers and clients.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders to ensure accurate field execution.
• Manage project logistics in occupied environments while minimizing disruption to end users and facility operations.
• Ensure projects comply with all applicable building codes, life safety requirements, and owner standards.
