Job summary

The McDonnel Group in the Greater New Orleans region is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and uphold safety and quality on projects.

You will manage preconstruction site surveys, establish layouts and logistics, track daily reports, and work with architects, engineers, and the Project Manager to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of experience as a Superintendent on large commercial projects, including multifamily and wood-frame builds.
• Current OSHA-30 certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
• Proficient in MS Office; able to manage pre-construction and field operations.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction activities and field leadership.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage mobilization plans.
• Ensure safety programs and OSHA standards are enforced.
• Oversee site logistics, deliveries, and concrete pours.
• Capture daily site reports and progress photos.
• Coordinate with architect/engineer for inspections.
