Job summary

CAET PMC is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent II to independently lead field execution of commercial renovation, remodel, tenant improvements, and ground-up projects in the Dallas area. You will serve as the primary field representative, manage subcontractors, and drive schedules with limited day-to-day oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction leadership roles.
• Experience with ground-up, renovation, and tenant improvement projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Willingness to travel across North Texas region as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and materials for successful execution.
• Develop, maintain, and drive the project construction schedule with the Project Manager; manage short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Hold subcontractors accountable for manpower, sequencing, quality, safety, and scope completion.
• Lead coordination meetings; communicate upcoming activities, constraints, and corrective actions.
• Review plans, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and ensure field activities align with docs.
• Identify constructability conflicts and schedule risks early; escalate when needed.
• Implement field solutions and escalate significant cost/design concerns to Project Manager.
• Maintain safety and quality-control compliance with CAET standards.
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and inspectors; ensure readiness for inspections.
• Maintain daily reports, progress photos, manpower records, and field documentation.
