Job summary

Hammers Construction, Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of multiple commercial projects. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial GC experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a results-driven approach to managing budgets, schedules, and field

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Demonstrated experience working for a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects through multiple phases of construction.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scopes, contracts, and schedules.
• Experience managing subcontractors and vendors.
• Experience with project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and change management.
• Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project closeout.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing and field operations.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, cost projections, and financial reporting.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
• Procuring and managing subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare and manage subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate with project superintendents and field personnel.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule.
• Identify project risks and develop solutions.
• Conduct project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing for best value.
• Maintain strong communication with owners throughout construction.
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed.
• Coordinate permitting, inspections, punch lists, warranties, and project closeout.
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and subcontractors.
