Actalent is seeking a Project Manager Commercial Construction in Sioux Falls, SD. The role leads projects from pre-construction through closeout, focusing on estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with internal teams and field leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects as a project manager.
• Experience managing mid-size projects in the $5–15 million range.
• Experience with hospital or education projects is desirable.
• Strong PM and CM skills including planning, coordination, and execution.
• Experience with project estimation in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, timelines, milestones, and work plans.
• Direct pre-construction planning including permits, logistics, and subcontractor onboarding.
• Manage and organize all project documentation (RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders).
• Ensure timely distribution of project information to all stakeholders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for timely delivery of materials and services.
• Manage procurement schedules and track delivery timelines.
• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with specs, codes, safety, and standards.
• Coordinate inspections and drive corrective actions to maintain quality and schedule.
• Review subcontractor billings and cost reporting; identify cost impacts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to align goals and progress.
• Provide clear communication and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Support estimating and planning with construction management input.
• Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
