Job summary

AlphaGov in Central Virginia seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee renovations, tenant improvements, and new builds for commercial clients. You will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients, architects, and field teams.

Candidates need 5+ years with a general contractor, strong knowledge of contracts, budgeting, and scheduling; on-site work and travel throughout Central Virginia are required; bachelor's in CM or Civil Eng

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management with a general contractor.
• Experience managing commercial renovations, tenant improvements, office buildings, or similar projects.
• Ability to independently manage projects through preconstruction, construction, and closeout.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, contracts, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate clients, design professionals, vendors, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop project schedules, track milestones, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee subcontractor agreements, scopes of work, procurement, change orders, and contracts.
• Review drawings, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with clients, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
