Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Commercial Construction Estimator to prepare estimates for bids on HVAC/Sheet Metal and Plumbing projects. You will review documents, solicit subs, and coordinate scope across in-house trades while using Autobid and other estimating tools.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction and 3+ years in estimating/pre-construction, with strong Excel/Bluebeam skills and knowledge of piping trades. Travel for site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction/estimating
• 3+ years estimating and pre-construction experience
• Proficient in Excel and Bluebeam
• Knowledge of piping trades including shop fabrication
• Ability to meet critical deadlines and multi-task

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and bid requirements
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations
• Distribute plans to subs and vendors
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Coordinate scope between trades
• Take-off equipment and materials using estimating software
• Enter costs into bid summary ahead of due date
• Review take-off and pricing for completeness
• Ensure subcontractor/vendor quotations comply with plans
• Develop rough draft scope for proposals
• Assist in procurement after award
• Enter estimate into job cost system and participate in turnover meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
