Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Virginia Beach seeks a Special Projects Estimator to prepare complete bids for smaller commercial HVAC and sheet metal projects. You will gather take-offs, review plans, and assemble detailed estimates from subcontractors and in-house trades.

Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to develop bid strategies and ensure accuracy and compliance with documents. Occasional site visits and pre-bid activities may require travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of trades estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment and estimating techniques.
• Proficient in cost control and interpreting cost data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete estimates from plans and specs for assigned projects.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations and review for compliance.
• Develop bid strategies and review documents with estimating manager.
• Enter estimates into cost-control software and support turnover to operations.
• Coordinate scope of work between in-house trades and subs.
• Meet deadlines and communicate clearly with team members.
