Job summary

Insight Recruitment partners with a respected Lincoln commercial general contractor to identify a Senior Commercial Construction Estimator. This role goes beyond numbers, focusing on shaping the estimating and preconstruction function with greater influence and autonomy.

You will lead detailed estimates for varied commercial projects, improve processes, and collaborate with operations, finance, and business development to deliver accurate bids and strong handoffs.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of commercial estimating experience with a General Contractor.
• Strong commercial construction knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Experience with estimating software and digital construction tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for a wide variety of commercial projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and subcontractor coordination.
• Visit project sites to better understand scope and project requirements.
• Improve estimating systems, workflows, and overall efficiency.
• Introduce new ideas and technology that strengthen the estimating process.
• Help ensure seamless project handoffs from preconstruction into operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Initially, your primary focus will be commercial estimating and preconstruction while working closely with operations, project management, finance, and business development.
