Tompkins Bank & Trust is seeking a Commercial Compliance Quality Assurance Manager to lead first line compliance risk for Commercial and Small Business Lending. You will embed regulatory requirements into processes, support audit readiness, and drive a strong compliance culture across lending teams.

The role partners across legal, risk, operations, and compliance to monitor portfolio quality, manage remediation, and report issues to senior management.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in commercial lending, banking compliance, credit administration, operational risk, internal controls, audit, or related function.
• Strong understanding of applicable Commercial Lending regulations (EC/Ota, FDPA, HMDA, CRA, FCRA) and risk governance.
• Advanced degree or relevant certification is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line compliance risk owner for Commercial Lending processes and activities.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical procedures, controls, and guidance for lending teams.
• Support compliance oversight across the lending lifecycle including origination, underwriting, approval, documentation, and portfolio monitoring.
