Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking a Sr. Commercial Banker - Construction, Engineering & Architecture to develop and expand a middle-market portfolio.

You will build relationships with construction, engineering, and architecture clients, providing tailored commercial banking solutions and serving as a trusted advisor. You will drive new business through referrals, networking, and proactive prospecting, while cross-selling a broad range of products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of commercial banking experience with a focus on C&I lending.
• Experience serving Construction, Engineering, and Architecture clients is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to develop trusted client partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitability by developing new commercial banking relationships through proactive business development.
• Deepen existing client relationships by addressing business and personal financial needs.
• Structure, negotiate, and close commercial loan opportunities with cross-sell of banking products.
• Develop and maintain COIs, referral partners, and community contacts to generate new business.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline through consistent calling, networking, and relationship-building.
• Represent the Bank in the community and at industry events to enhance brand visibility.
• Travel within the market and surrounding areas as needed to support relationships and development.
