Everest Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Commercial Auto for its Wholesale Casualty team. The role focuses on building and managing a profitable E&S Commercial Auto portfolio across the Southeast, with options for regional office locations or remote work for highly qualified candidates.

You will underwrite diverse auto exposures, develop broker relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
• Strong expertise in Commercial Auto underwriting; E&S or wholesale market preferred.
• Experience underwriting transportation, contractor auto, trucking or auto-focused casualty risks.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal E&S Commercial Auto business across the Southeast region.
• Develop and maintain a profitable book of business within the territory.
• Build relationships with wholesale broker partners and serve as a trusted market resource.
• Evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, terms, and coverage structures to profitability.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Operations, Product and Distribution teams.
• Monitor market conditions and broker activity; adhere to underwriting guidelines and referral processes.
