Job summary

Exus Renewables North America seeks a Senior Commercial Analyst to lead complex back/middle-office tasks in the Commercial team, focusing on settlements, revenue reporting, and contract reviews for tracking obligations. You will maintain revenue-focused models for investor reporting and invoicing and interface with external clients for market analyses and monthly results.

The role interfaces with asset management and accounting to deliver investor reporting, explain variances, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in financial or energy industries; back/middle-office support in wholesale or retail power preferred.
• Experience building, reviewing and auditing complex Excel models.
• Knowledge of ISO market operations and settlements (PJM, MISO, ERCOT preferred).
• Basic understanding of energy markets, solar and wind assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform shadow settlements, validate final settlements, and execute invoicing for ISO, hedge, and REC settlements.
• Collaborate with Accounting on invoicing, payments, and revenue reconciliations for monthly reporting.
• Act as a primary contact for asset management clients and offtakers to explain revenue outcomes.
• Verify Day-Ahead/Real-Time scheduling and support scheduling activities.
• Draft and review transaction confirmations (REC sales, etc.).
• Analyze confirmations for accuracy of amounts and terms.
• Support investor reporting with revenue analyses and variance explanations.
• Create and maintain revenue models for internal and external reporting.
• Explain revenue calculation methodologies across departments.
• Analyze energy market trends to optimize financial performance of assets.
• Review contracts to understand commercial obligations and communicate them to management.
• Assist in developing Commercial tools using Excel and Power BI.
• Maintain knowledge of ISO rules and changes.
• Manage REC trading activity (PJM GATS, NCRETS, WREGIS, TX REC).
