Job summary

ConnectPrep is expanding its college admissions team and seeks experienced counselors who will guide students through the college selection and application process. You will craft personalized plans, review curriculums and portfolios, and help families navigate ED/EA/Regular Decision timelines.

This role emphasizes flexible scheduling within a contractual, supplemental income framework. The ideal candidate brings five+ years in admissions, strong writing, and deep knowledge of Naviance, Scoir,

Qualifications

• Five years minimum as an admissions officer/reader in a selective college setting.
• Knowledge of high school curriculum, AP/IB, and standardized tests (ACT/SAT).
• Experience with 7th–12th graders, transfers, and private/boarding school applicants.
• Proven track record of student success across diverse programs (engineering, med, etc).
• Ability to differentiate applications and build strong portfolios.
• Familiar with athletic recruitment and specialized admissions endeavors.
• Excellent writing and understanding of the admissions landscape.
• Team-oriented, motivating, and a strong communicator.
• Knowledge of Naviance, Scoir, and common college applications.

Responsibilities

• Review curriculums, internships, and extracurriculars to craft individualized plans for applicants.
• Develop and implement playbooks for families detailing the college application process.
• Guide families through ED/REA/EA/RD strategies and timelines.
• Collaborate with students on course selection and portfolio development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of college admissions landscape and timelines.
