Job summary

CFS in Houston is seeking a Collections Specialist to join a growing team in the Northwest Houston area. You will manage a high-volume B2B collections portfolio, handling accounts from small balances to high obligations, with daily follow-up by phone and email.

This role requires advanced Excel skills (pivot tables) and a proven ability to negotiate effectively. You will contribute to accurate record-keeping and collaborate with in-office and remote teammates in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in high-volume B2B collections.
• Proven ability to manage a large and complex accounts portfolio.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume collections portfolio (approximately 800 accounts).
• Handle accounts ranging from low balance to high-value (up to $100K).
• Oversee a portfolio totaling approximately $2.5M–$6M.
• Perform consistent follow-up on outstanding balances via phone and email.
• Maintain detailed records of collection activity and account status.
• Utilize Excel (pivot tables) to track, analyze, and report on collections data.
