Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant experience; foreign degrees evaluated.
• Five+ years of hands-on enterprise reporting with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Expert knowledge of Cognos Analytics (11.x/12.x), Framework Manager, Report Authoring, Dashboard Authoring.
• Strong data modeling experience with Framework Manager models, data modules, and enterprise semantic layers.
• Experience with SQL development and performance optimization; Oracle/SQL Server.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reports in IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Develop interactive dashboards; reference Power BI/Tableau/Qlik Sense when needed.
• Modify and troubleshoot reports; test outputs for accuracy.
• Perform data modeling and maintain Framework Manager models and semantic layers.
• Update models as source systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint) change.
• Ensure the semantic layer reflects business logic for Finance, HR, or Project Accounting data.
• Write and optimize SQL queries; develop stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Diagnose and resolve query performance issues and tune indexing/queries.
