The role requires 7+ years in healthcare coding and 7+ years in management, with RHIT/RHIA/CPC/COC/CCS certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Seven years of direct experience in coding.
• Seven years of management experience in a large health care system.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws governing coding and reimbursement.
• Certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CPC, COC, or CCS.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of hospital and professional coding across the system.
• Oversee denial management and audit activity; ensure compliant processes.
• Develop and implement coding operating model and education to reduce denial activity.
• Manage multi-million dollar budget and collaborate with IT.
• Drive revenue cycle strategies and decisions at leadership level.
