Job summary

The City of Lancaster is seeking an experienced Senior Code Compliance Officer to lead inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties and enforce local codes. You will investigate violations, respond to citizen complaints, and prepare notices and citations.

As a lead, you will coordinate staff assignments, monitor performance, and support daily code enforcement operations while upholding regulatory standards and providing professional service to the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Active Registered Code Compliance Officer certification in the State of Texas.
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license required.
• Knowledge of municipal codes, property maintenance regulations, and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and prepare reports, notices, and citations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate staff activities, and handle challenging situations professionally.
